About the assignment

As a senior project engineer, you are an experienced and self-sufficient project management support responsible for assisting the project manager in controlling and monitoring the project's time, cost, and content. The role requires a good overall perspective, structure, and the ability to work proactively in complex project environments.

The assignment includes several types of railway projects, such as capacity-increasing measures, safety, accessibility, and refurbishment. In addition, support for other projects and units within the investment operations may occur.

The assignment also includes knowledge transfer to the client's employees.

 This is a consultancy assignment for an initial period of 1 year. You will be employed by us at A-Talent Tech. Job Responsibilities

As a senior project engineer, you will work with:

Project Management and Coordination

• Support and sounding board for project managers and project organization
• Establish and follow up project management documents
• Drive and prepare project issues as agreed
• Represent the project manager in meetings if necessary

Scheduling

• Establish, update, and follow up schedules in relevant systems
• Reporting of schedules and milestones to project management and line organization

Finance

• Forecasting, financial monitoring, and invoice management
• Prepare decision-making and follow-up documentation for project managers and controllers
• Support in authorization, valuation, and special financial follow-ups

Requirements and Risk Management

• Support in working with control programs, requirement lists, and deviations
• Coordination of the project's risk work and risk reserves
• Prepare decision-making documentation related to risk management

Procurement

• Support in call-offs and supplier contacts
• Participation in the development of assignment descriptions and request for proposals

Communication

• Coordinate external communication in consultation with the project manager
• Contact person for communicators and external parties during consultations

Administration

• Meeting administration, document structure, and record-keeping
• Access management and work in the project's system support
• Prepare summaries, presentations, and reports
• Manage classified information and SUA work if necessary

Location and Working Method

• Stationing location: Gothenburg
• Work primarily takes place in the office, but also at project offices around Västra Götaland
• Travel for work occurs regularly

Scope

• Workload: 80–100 %
• The assignment is long-term

Qualifications – Mandatory Requirements

• At least high school education
• At least 8 years of experience as a project engineer in the railway sector within the last 12 years
• Experience with railway projects in all phases:
  • TKI assurance
  • Railway plan
  • Construction documentation
  • Production
  • Management data
• Finance education (at least high school level or equivalent)
• Driver's license B
• Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

Certificates and Training

• BASÄVISTA*
• AMA Construction
• Planning of roads and railways
• General railway technology for administrators
• Basic training in contract law
• Project management training (basic)
• Good knowledge of the Office suite, including MS Project

* If BASÄVISTA is missing, it can be supplemented no later than one month after signing the contract.
